I want to share with you all about my experience. for task 2, I choose passage North Korea frozen funds transffered. I cannot understand when I listening this passage. For second time..I listen and look transkript I can understand about this passage..and many new vocabulary that i found in this passage..
now iwant to share with you all..hope you all enjoy..

• smuggling-----thing/people in to a place out of it they take them their illegal, secretly.
• apparently-----something fact seem to be true although you are not sure wether is true or not.
• dispute-----something with another group
• gambling---act/activity betting money for example card game and horse racing.
• enclave-----an area within a country or city where ppople living in the surrounding country..

ASSIGNMENT 1 : WRITING A SELF-ASSESSMENT ESSAY

Assalamualaikum....haiiii.....tonight i would like to submit my last assignment that i have done..

In this class website, I will share about my achievement in learning English. As we know that English is very important in our life today. In the globalization world, many challenge in student life. I need learn and practice more and more to be good in English.


This is because, I am not very well in English, so I should do the best thing and more effort to be good in English. Now I would like to tell us about my achievement in this site such as in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and others.

Firstly, let me tell about my achievement in reading. In my reading, I think I will understand about something I am read. Because in reading like reading comprehension, I will use the keys word or clues to guess meaning. In the past time when I learn English, we also must use the skills of scanning and skimming. Beside that, I also learn about to identify topic and main idea. Therefore, with this skill I can become a better reader. I like these activities because we just must understand the topic or sentences there are given.

Secondly, I would like to share in my writing. I am not a good writer because until now when I write I make many mistakes. Even I have much idea to write, I still cannot make a good sentences. It is because my grammar not very well and I also make many mistakes especially in tenses. Until now, I need to refer lecturer and make revision in my tenses to helps me develop my writing skills. In my performance in writing, I will use examples and supporting details to try expanding the sentences. I also use the easy words in developing the statement. I dislike in these activities especially in writing essay because I know I will make mistakes. Nevertheless, I must improve and make many exercises to enhance in my writing skills.

Thirdly, I like to mention my achievement in listening. I think I do not have any problem in listening. Especially in listen any music and songs. Moreover, when I listening any song, I try to catch up the lyrics and know the meaning of songs. When I get the lyric, I try to listening again and improve the pronouns the words. I like these activities because it is very interesting and easy to follow up. However, when I watching the movie I must listen more carefully what the dialogs present, if I not pay attentions I cannot understand the situation in the movie.

Fourthly, my achievement in speaking is not very well. We know the speaking is main language functions that will enable someone to interact in formal and informal situation in any an environment. In addition, nowadays in job interview, anyone must confident in speaking to make the interviewer choose us. I believe the statement ‘practice make perfect’, so I improve my speaking with speak English in daily conversations with my friend. I use the easy words in interaction with others person to avoid misunderstanding. I am not good in speaking because my pronunciation is not very well.

Fifthly, my achievement in vocabulary is very well. I improve my vocabulary with read any resources and try guess the meaning but when I fail to know I find out from dictionary. I use the English dictionary because I want to know what the words meaning in English. In addition, I increase my vocabulary when I see Malay drama or foreign movie like Korean and Chinese;they also have subtitle at the footer screen, so I read the dialog and know the word in English version. When I join this class before, I also make a vocabulary journal where I find the new word at any materials and write down the meaning with much strategy to remember the words like use the pictures.

Sixthly, everyone in the English class must participate in project work in others words must making presentation. Therefore, to make the best presentations, everyone must find the information at any resources like in internet, book or magazines. Before the presentation, preparations in the project must be arrange. Everyone must be cooperating and make a guidance to make sure the presentations will be all right. This activity also can improve our presentation skills and speaking skills. I like this activity because make me close to my friend and share many ideas to make it better. My confident also increase when I can speak at public without shy and happy when my friends understand what I present.

Seventhly, in participating discussions make me share many ideas and know something new information from new friends. Everyone must speak in this discussions, and at the same time everyone try to help someone who not very well in English or shy to speak at public. Therefore, the person can make repetition in their vocabulary and skills.Last but not less, hopefully I can be the better person who good in English and can speak with more confident in future.I hope I can improve my achievement in learning English with the skills and do performance that I learn before. Thanks you to my loving lecturer,Madam Salmiah and not forget to all my friends that help me in learning English. Last but not least,good luck for your exam and do the best..!!!

This morning I would like to finish my task 2. I think I am late to do this work. I am so sorry because this is my fault. To do this work for the Task 2- LEARNING ENGLISH, I had choosed one topic about Flatmates. Before that, I'm so sad because when I listened the passage it was not cleared and they spokes very quickly. I'm not understand what they are said and after that, I read the passage.

Back to the my topic is Flatmates and this topic about the dialogue with two people is Paul and Alice. The episode for this week is Temper Tantrums. it is tell me about the many problems who live at the flat.

From the passage I choosed the saveral words is I don't understands what the meaning...

1. Exhausted~ it makes you tired either phisically or mentally, that you have energy left.


2. Casualties~ Is a person who is injured or killed in a waror in an accident.

3. Temper~ is the way you are feeling at particular time.

4. Tantrum~ If a child has a tantrum. they lose their temper in a noisy and uncontrolled way.

5. Brat~ if you call someone, especially a child.

hi....today i want sharing with my friends about my listening experience in bbc.In this website,i have listen to Prof.David Crystal recording.The word that he used is easy to understand,but i should listened carefully..so that I'm can not understand for overview.. Although i enjoyed with my listening.Now i can share new word to all of you....

I had a problem for my assignment task 2 because when i listen to the story, i don't understood the story. But, when i looked at the tapescripe, i can understood the story and get many new vocabulary what i don't know...

• Is used to refer to an imprecise number of people or things that is not large but is greater than two.

For task 2, I had choosed one topic on the Learning English"Modern British Families".

Enormous- extremely large in size or amount

Raising- you move it so that it is in a higher position

Breadwinners- The breadwinner in a family is the person in it who earns the money that the
family needs for essential things

Lack- If there is a lack of something, there is not enough of it or it does not exist at all

Argue- If one person argues with another they speak angrily to each other about something
that they disagree about you can also say that two people argue
