although we r not the winner,we did it with full of co-operations..hope we get the best mark..i got a lot of experience from this class..foundation english class teached me the meanings of "english"...i learnt about speaking,listening,reading and writing more deeper than before..i like it! ahaa! sorry to madam Salmiah because i do this assignment very late. Today i do the assignment 2, task 1. I would open the David Crystal and i choose the topic is "Get a life." Itry to listen Prof. David Crystal voice but i can't. I don't know why. I try for many times but still cannot heared his voice. So i read the transcript only. The new words i learn is:

David Crystal
Assalamualaikum,today i listen to Prof David Crystal recording.At first time i heard that im not really understand what he talked about.But i listen it again and again....Then, i read the transcript.I choose the word in my daily life i had learn that is unusual to put the word 'not' at the end, instead of in the middle word 'not' actually emphassing or refer to the negative opinion.It usually used after an opposite point of view.
That....the diffrent topic,I think he speak in American English and it not easy for me understood because he speak so fast and he voice is slowly...
What i understood about 'dream' is dream can be mean about pictures that pass through your mind while u are asleep.
For one meaning is happening u imagine while awake.
-I also had learn new word such as abbreviation emphasising and negate.
-So i will learn more English language from David Crystal Learning English.Thats all what i understood in English learning today.Wslm:)

Assalamualaikum, hai tonight i would like to submit my last assigment i have done it's writing a self-assesment essay.
In this class web site i want to share about my achievement in learning english this semester. i need learn more and practise next time tobe good in English.
i'm not very well in english, so i should do the best thing and more and more again. Now i want to share to our my classmate about my achievement
in reading, writing, listening, speaking and others.
Firstly, i want to share with you all about my reading. Because in reading like reading comprehension, I will use the keys word or clues to guess meaning.We also use the key word or clueto guess meaning.I also learan about how to find the main idea.
Secondly, I would like to share about my writing. I'm not good writer because until i can't writing well until now until now when I write I make many mistakes. It is because my grammer not very well and i also i make many mistake especially in tense.
Thirtly, i want to share to all of you about my listening. I think i don have any problem in listening because when i listen at radio station we try to understand what the meaning they said. When i watching movie i must listen truly for detect what they say and see the picture for advantage happen in that story.
Fourthly, my achievement in speaking is not very well. We know the speaking is main language functions that will enable someone to interact in formal and informal situation in any an environment. In addition, nowadays in job interview, anyone must confident in speaking to make the interviewer choose us. I believe the statement ‘practice make perfect’, so I improve my speaking with speak English in daily conversations with my friend. I use the easy words in interaction with others person to avoid misunderstanding. I am not good in speaking because my pronunciation is not very well.
Fifthly, my achievement in vocabulary is very well. I improve my vocabulary with read any resources and try guess the meaning but when I fail to know I find out from dictionary. I use the English dictionary because I want to know what the words meaning in English.
Sixthly, i want to share to other poeple about making presentations. Before i attend a class i'm not confident with my self to present other project. Now i get something in my class about confident to speak to poeple and i get tecnic how to excelent presentation.
Seventhly, my participating discusion make me share many ideas and know somethings new information from new friewnds. Everyone must speak in this discussions, and at the same time everyone try to help someone who not very well in English or shy to speak at public. Firstly, sorry to madam because i'm late start to do this task. Actually, i had surfing the internet for two more time but i'm still cannot do it. I cannot hear that voice. Before this i make in PTSL. For today i do this assignment in nazwan room. This is first time i come the Nazwan room.

About the task 1, first i heard the recording from professor David Cristal but i don't catch it clearly so i just read the transcript. After i understand, i heard the recording once more and i have got it. It's talk about 'HOODIE'. I m so interested with this topic even it's too simple because the topic is talking about lifestyle of some people particulary yongsters who's wearing in negatif way. It's caused a huge reaction. It's mean youngster have being stereotyped just because a few nasty people. Today, there have many people going around looking like gangs,wearing hooded tops,baseball caps,clothing wich deliberately obsured the face and many more.

I've reading the tanscript and hearing the professor David recording about People and Places; 'THE BRUMIE ACCENT'. Brumie is an informal words to describe someone or something who comes from Brimingham England's second biggest city. The Brumie Accent is loved by someone but hated by many people. According to the survey, many people say it's the most annoying accent there is and a lot of people make fun of it. But some people in Brimingham did not like this accent.
There is some vocabulary that i 've learn from Prof. David Cristal recording from task 2:

Firstly, let me tell about my achievement in reading. In my reading, I think I will understand about something I am read. Because in reading like reading comprehension, I will use the keys word or clues to guess meaning. In the past time when I learn English, we also must use the skills of scanning and skimming. Beside that, I also learn about to identify topic and main idea. Therefore, with this skill I can become a better reader. I like these activities because we just must understand the topic or sentences there are given.
Secondly, I would like to share in my writing. I am not a good writer because until now when I write I make many mistakes. Even I have much idea to write, I still cannot make a good sentences. It is because my grammar not very well and I also make many mistakes especially in tenses. Until now, I need to refer lecturer and make revision in my tenses to helps me develop my writing skills. In my performance in writing, I will use examples and supporting details to try expanding the sentences. I also use the easy words in developing the statement. I dislike in these activities especially in writing essay because I know I will make mistakes. Nevertheless, I must improve and make many exercises to enhance in my writing skills.
Thirdly, I like to mention my achievement in listening. I think I do not have any problem in listening. Especially in listen any music and songs. Moreover, when I listening any song, I try to catch up the lyrics and know the meaning of songs. When I get the lyric, I try to listening again and improve the pronouns the words. I like these activities because it is very interesting and easy to follow up. However, when I watching the movie I must listen more carefully what the dialogs present, if I not pay attentions I cannot understand the situation in the movie.
Fourthly, my achievement in speaking is not very well. We know the speaking is main language functions that will enable someone to interact in formal and informal situation in any an environment. In addition, nowadays in job interview, anyone must confident in speaking to make the interviewer choose us. I believe the statement ‘practice make perfect’, so I improve my speaking with speak English in daily conversations with my friend. I use the easy words in interaction with others person to avoid misunderstanding. I am not good in speaking because my pronunciation is not very well.
Fifthly, my achievement in vocabulary is very well. I improve my vocabulary with read any resources and try guess the meaning but when I fail to know I find out from dictionary. I use the English dictionary because I want to know what the words meaning in English. In addition, I increase my vocabulary when I see Malay drama or foreign movie like Korean and Chinese;they also have subtitle at the footer screen, so I read the dialog and know the word in English version. When I join this class before, I also make a vocabulary journal where I find the new word at any materials and write down the meaning with much strategy to remember the words like use the pictures.
Sixthly, everyone in the English class must participate in project work in others words must making presentation. Therefore, to make the best presentations, everyone must find the information at any resources like in internet, book or magazines. Before the presentation, preparations in the project must be arrange. Everyone must be cooperating and make a guidance to make sure the presentations will be all right. This activity also can improve our presentation skills and speaking skills. I like this activity because make me close to my friend and share many ideas to make it better. My confident also increase when I can speak at public without shy and happy when my friends understand what I present.
Seventhly, in participating discussions make me share many ideas and know something new information from new friends. Everyone must speak in this discussions, and at the same time everyone try to help someone who not very well in English or shy to speak at public. Therefore, the person can make repetition in their vocabulary and skills.Last but not less, hopefully I can be the better person who good in English and can speak with more confident in future.I hope I can improve my achievement in learning English with the skills and do performance that I learn before. In this class website, I will share about my achievement in learning English. As we know that English is very important in our life today. In the globalization world, many challenge in student life. I need learn and practice more and more to be good in English.
This is because, I am not very well in English, so I should do the best thing and more effort to be good in English. Now I would like to tell us about my achievement in this site such as in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and others.
Firstly, let me tell about my achievement in reading. In my reading, I think I will understand about something I am read. Because in reading like reading comprehension, I will use the keys word or clues to guess meaning. In the past time when I learn English, we also must use the skills of scanning and skimming. Beside that, I also learn about to identify topic and main idea. Therefore, with this skill I can become a better reader. I like these activities because we just must understand the topic or sentences there are given.
Secondly, I would like to share in my writing. I am not a good writer because until now when I write I make many mistakes. Even I have much idea to write, I still cannot make a good sentences. It is because my grammar not very well and I also make many mistakes especially in tenses. Until now, I need to refer lecturer and make revision in my tenses to helps me develop my writing skills. In my performance in writing, I will use examples and supporting details to try expanding the sentences. I also use the easy words in developing the statement. I dislike in these activities especially in writing essay because I know I will make mistakes. Nevertheless, I must improve and make many exercises to enhance in my writing skills.
Thirdly, I like to mention my achievement in listening. I think I do not have any problem in listening. Especially in listen any music and songs. ooohhh...Today I was felt so bored..Idon't have a good mood for today..
But I've try my best to learn and learn to get more knowledge about english..
Today, as you know we learn about "TURTLE MAY BE CLUE TO DINOSAUR DEMISE"..
At first, I don't know what this passage or article is about and i don't want to know..
I felt so bored..But I don't want to succum to a lesson..(is it my sentence right Madam? I got a new vocabulary (succum) at our lesson this morning...)
After Madam read that passage for us, explained it to our class and do the summary of the story for us...Finally I was understood about that passage..Alhamdulillah..
After that my mood became OK and more happy...hehehe...Thanks MADAM..
Today also I felt so tired..We done the practise for our drama for a 3 times..
Tired...but I felt very enjoyed and got more confident..=)

It was happened on 17 August 2005 where all 160 people on board the West Caribbean Airways flight from Panama to Martinique died in the impact. This is the second accident this year involving West Caribbean Airways...
The plane not only lost both of its engines..but the aircraft exploded on impact..
So, that the company lost another aircraft in March this year in a crash which killed eight people.
That all for about the news..
I found and learned more words from this news..such as..

"Luvvy" this is the topic that i have choosed. The topic was very intresting and i enjoy when i listened and read the transcript. Firstly when i listened to the recording, i'm not understand what he want to tell. But when i repeat again and i finished read overall the transcript, i can understand what "luvvy" is about. WRITING- In english i weak about writing.I can't write in english excellent.Because i don't know how to make a sentence in english.But,after this class i can improve my writing.Even not overall,i sacrified with my writing in english.In class,a lecturer want a student to write a summary.With summary,i have a learn more about skill to writing.
LISTENING- Listening activity in class make me happy.It is because we will hear a song.Lecturer open flying without wings songs by westlife.I'm very like this song.So,i must hear carefully for to understand what the song about.With a song all students happy to learn about listening programs.I also can improve my listening skills.

Assignment 2 : Individual Online Listening and Writing
Task 1
Today, i've just finished to listened prof. David Crystal's and the topic that i choose is "Get a Life". I am enjoyed this topic. Firstly,when i listen to the prof. David Crystal's recording,i am not understand what he want to tell. But,when i repeat again,i can understand the topic. Then,i read the tapescript and listen again..
In the topic, i found the new words and i would like to share it with my friends..
deragatory = negative and critical
jocular = light-hearted
workaholic = crazy work
obsession = something you can't stop thingking about or doing
unfulfilling = not satisfying
Soap = a TV drama series
i think,this topic is about life. Everyone have a different life.
This familiar old noun 'life', now used widely in the phrase 'get a life!', usually in a derogatory tone of voice like that - 'Get a life, why don't you!' Well, it's said to somebody who the speaker feels is leading an unfulfilling existence, your life is empty, dull, there's more to life than what you're doing, start living!
for my opinion,i got a new listening experience by using this webside.the language quite high. In otherwise, its give me the knowledge to improve my english.

For this task,i've choose "Wuss" as my topic..
'He's a wuss.' 'She's a wuss.' It means ineffectual person, indecisive, weak. It's from the United States; it came in in the 1980s.
It has a very unclear etymology. It may be from 'wussy'..
'Stop being a wuss!' - that's the usage you hear a lot these days..
The word seems to be developing. It's become a verb - 'Stop wussing!' 'Ah! He's wussing around!' And I've even seen a new noun, wusser, wussers - 'We're all wussers now!' 'We've all become a complete pack of complete wussers,' says somebody on a website.
there are some new words that i found from this topic..
wimp = that is an ineffectual person
ineffectual = not good at getting things done or not good at a job.
pussy = an affectionate term for a eat.
For my opinion about this topic is sometime the sentences are hard to understand..but i tried to understand it.
Besides, It's become a verb - for examples, 'Stop wussing!' 'Ah! He's wussing around!' And I've even seen a new noun, wusser, wussers..
by the way, i am very happy and enjoy with this webside because i can learn more and found new vocabulary.
